The Humboldt-Institut Lindenberg can host up to 200 students and is open year-round — even during the winter holidays. Many of our classrooms offer breathtaking views of the Alps. Students can choose to be housed in the on-campus dorms or stay with a host family.

The UEP course takes place one of the UK’s world-renowned universities: Brasenose College, allowing students unrivalled access to these privileged seats of learning. For inspired and high-reaching individuals looking to take their academic knowhow to the next level for higher education or exams. This course helps develop understanding through a series of academic workshops, designed to increase confidence and communication skills for academic success.

Our popular mini-stay programmes are tailored to suit the needs and requirements of your group. Mini-stay programmes generally include up to 15 hours of General English tuition, alongside a vibrant and varied social programme. Previous mini-stay social programmes have included visits to Blenheim Palace, local museums, Oxford University colleges and the Warner Brothers Studios, in addition to excursions to London, Cambridge, Bath and more. It is also possible to add a theme to your mini-stay programme, such as Harry Potter, University and English Literature. Our mini-stay programmes are suitable for school groups of any English ability who wish to experience the UK and further their language learning. This programme is ideal for young learners embarking on their English language journey. The closed, secure campus atmosphere provides an ideal setting for junior students to experience a British boarding school-style programme, and have fun learning English and exploring British culture. The activity programme makes use of the school’s stunning 70 acre campus leading to the Cherwell River and extensive sports facilities, including; indoor swimming pool, outdoor sports facilities, sports hall, pavilion, art room, climbing wall, theatre and an adventure playground! Lessons will take place each morning during two 1.5 hour blocks, with a break in the middle. The PLUS centre is located at one of the largest agricultural universities in the UK. It is surrounded by its own farm, landscaped gardens and offers a secure university environment with plenty of open areas for recreation. The campus is a self contained with lots of modern teaching, living and sporting facilities. The city centre is easily accessible from the campus by bus (15 minutes travel time). Chelmsford is a city in Essex in the east of England. It is approximately 50km north east of London and there is a railway station with direct trains to London Liverpool Street in Central London (35 minutes travel time). Chelmsford is an urban area with a mix of Victorian and modern buildings and a vibrant city centre with two shopping centres and a wide range of restaurants and pubs. Chelmsford is surrounded by many parks and picturesque English villages. Places to visit include Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park, Tropical Wings Zoo, Chelmsford Cathedral, Shire Hall, Chelmsford Museum and many more.

The Plus centre is located at the main campus of the University of Chester. It is spread across 13 hectares of grassland. It has a mixture of Victorian buildings such as The Old College, which includes an old chapel built by some of the former students, and modern buildings. Green spaces and beautifully kept gardens at the heart of the campus provide a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The campus also features excellent sporting facilities, a swimming pool, a bar and various shops. The city centre is around 15-20 minutes’ walk away. Chester is one of England’s most beautiful historic cities, situated in the county of Cheshire in the north west of the country. The Roman Amphitheatre and walls feature ancient towers, gates and add to the traditional atmosphere of this ancient city. It is compact and easy to get around on foot whilst taking your time to admire the historic architecture. It also has various medieval and black-and-white Victorian buildings including the famous Chester ‘Rows’ - medieval walkways that form two-level rows of shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Just 10 miles from the city centre, there is the UK’s largest outlet designer shopping village. Chester is well linked to many major UK cities such as Manchester, Liverpool and London.
