How we select our schools and colleges
- They must be independent, owner-run and not part of a chain.
- They must have a good reputation which we verify through student and agent feedback.
- They must be nationally accredited.
- They are invited to apply for a Licence. This application has to be approved by the QE Board.
- We speak to the agents they work with to get their opinions.
- We carry out an inspection of the premises, and speak to the staff and students.
- We maintain regular contact with them to ensure they are maintaining the highest standards.
Quality control procedures
We take quality control very seriously and regularly monitor the quality of all our English language schools through student feedback, agent references and accreditation results. These must be of an excellent and consistent standard.

Quality Education Colleges offer a variety of vocational and academic courses taught in English.
Associate Schools are well-respected English Language schools in non-English speaking countries. These schools maintain high academic standards which QE verifies and monitors on a regular basis. The schools often work closely with QE schools and QEd colleges so that their students can progress to courses at those institutions as and when they are ready to do so.
Quality English Schools and Quality Education Colleges are selected from the best independent schools and colleges in English speaking countries. We carry out a comprehensive assessment to ensure that they meet our criteria whilst also gathering feedback from current students, and the agents the school or college works with. We carry out regular inspections to ensure the high standards are being maintained.
Yes, all QE schools and QEd colleges are required to have accreditation from their local regulatory body before applying for a QE or QEd Licence. This accreditation has to be maintained in order for them to retain the QE or QEd Licence.
