Teaching and Lessons

Young Learners at English Path – An Academic Overview English Path offers young learner programmes across our schools in the UK, Dubai, and Malta. The YL programme consists of morning English classes 9.00am -12.40pm (times may vary depending on location) with two 20-minute breaks. Following the classes, the students take part in an activity programme in the afternoon and evening organised by the Head of Young Learners, Romina Borderas and facilitated by activity leaders in the different locations. The syllabus: Lessons each day are split into three sessions as follows: • Session 1 – Key language and skills input using a set coursebook • Session 2 – Language work in preparation for the activity programme • Session 3 – Project work Each week the students will work towards a final project which they will present in the last session on the last day of the week. This project may be taken from the chosen coursebook or has been devised to mirror the theme of the week. The syllabus is intended as a guide and materials will be adapted to the needs of the learners, while following the themes of the week and the activities.
