UKLCX is a summer language programme for students aged 12-17 that develops their interest in learning both inside and outside the classroom. From the fine surroundings of Clifton College, in the heart of "Europe's handsomest suburb", we welcome individual students and small groups to friends to take part in our experiential language course.
In the classroom, our main course, called The English Experience (14 hours / week), takes an engaging, problem-based approach to the classroom as described below. Mid-week excursions are tied into the topics so learning continues both indoors and outside. In the afternoons, students pursue Electives of their choice (6 hours / week), before afternoon activities (include options for sports and non-sports) and interactive evening entertainments every night.
Our second full-day excursions take place on Saturdays and involve graffiti tours of Bristol, with a stencil workshop, or a trip to The BBC Earth Exhibition in Earls Court. Every student who stays two weeks or longer will visit London at least once and take part in at least one outdoor activity day.
Transfers are included for flights arriving / departing on Sundays, to / from London Heathrow and Bristol Airports (or Bristol temple Meads Station), between 10am-4pm. For other airports and times outside that window, transfer fees are charged.
